As we approach the holiday season and the dawn of a new year, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey we’ve shared in Flagler Schools and look ahead to the exciting opportunities that await us. The holidays are a time for joy, gratitude and hope, and they hold a special place in our hearts.
The holiday season is undoubtedly a busy time, but it’s also a time to come together and celebrate the things that truly matter in our lives. It’s a time to share love, laughter and cherished moments with our friends and family. For all of us at Flagler Schools, it’s an opportunity to express our sincere gratitude for your unwavering support throughout the year. This support is the driving force behind our commitment to providing the best education and opportunities for our students.
As we gather around festive tables, exchange gifts and sing carols, we must remember that the true spirit of the holidays lies in giving and spreading kindness. Many of our students and their families may be facing challenges during this season, and I encourage everyone to consider ways to give back to our community. Whether it’s participating in local food drives, volunteering at a shelter or simply extending a helping hand to a neighbor in need, our collective efforts can make a significant difference in the lives of those less fortunate across Flagler County.
One of the most exciting aspects of this time of year is the opportunity to reflect on the progress we’ve made as a school district. This year has presented its own set of challenges, but we’ve faced them with determination and resilience. Our students and staff have shown incredible adaptability, and our parents and guardians have provided unwavering support during these challenging times.
I am proud to say that Flagler Schools continues to push “Flagler Forward” as we strive for excellence in education, and we’re committed to preparing our students for a bright and promising future. We will continue to focus on innovation, personalized learning and the holistic development of our students. Our dedicated teachers, administrators and staff members are working tirelessly to ensure that our students have the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in an ever-changing world.
As we look forward to the New Year, let’s do so with hope and optimism. A new year offers a fresh start and the opportunity to set new goals, both personally and as a community. It’s a time to embrace change, learn from the past and work towards a brighter future. We have exciting initiatives and projects on the horizon, and I’m confident that together, we can achieve great things in 2024.
I wish you all a joyful and safe holiday season filled with love, laughter and cherished memories. Let’s approach the New Year with open hearts and the determination to make it a year of growth and achievement for our students, our schools and our community.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership in moving Flagler Forward.
Wishing you a warm and wonderful holiday season and a prosperous New Year.
With gratitude and best wishes,

LaShakia Moore
